Shades of Grey Bracelet

These glass beads are quite interesting - they are sort of half "shaded" in a blackish-grey colour (these bit reflect quite a bit of light as seen above) with the other half transparent like a crystal. The effect of different tones in black/grey makes it look really striking especially when paired with the 14k gold plated hoops. The dual strand effect gives it more "weight", without being too chunky. A touch of glam, perfect for that night out on the town!

Charmed by Shells

Charmed by Shells Necklace - this simple Red Agate shell shaped semi-precious stone hangs as a simple solitary pendant on a 14k gold plated chain. Simple yet stylish! Notice the subtle wave-like layering effect on the shell, how pretty and unique!

Charmed by Shells Bracelet - Red Agate shell shaped semi-precious stone hangs as a charm from a 14k gold plated chain. Accompanied by a 14k gold plated cute butterfly charm and Swarovski Crystal pearl.

I took a real liking to these lovely semi-precious Red Agate shells. Aren't they simply beautiful? They have such a lovely texture, no two are the same (thank you Mother Nature!) and its so interesting how you can actually see the different layers and colours caused by the different areas in which these semi-precious stones are mined. Apparently those ones with visible "layering" are formed under sea/water, and the pressure over time has resulted in the beautiful layers of different colours in the stones. I only wish the pictures did them more justice!

Madame Butterfly Charm Bracelet & Le Noir Bracelet (grey version)

Tonight was the first time I have met up a "walk-in" customer to deliver orders. And it was such a heart warming experience. :)

Lovely Suz had fallen in love with My Favourite Things Charm Bracelet and my Le Noir series. However, as My Fav Things was a customised order for a friend and no longer available, I offered to custom make her own fav things charm bracelet. She readily accepted and requested for a butterfly-themed bracelet. The result is Madame Butterfly below.

Madame Butterfly Charm Bracelet (dual strand) - special custom-made order for lovely Suz who has a soft spot for butterflies and the colour grey!

As for the Le Noir series, I customised the necklace for her to become a choker. As for the bracelet, due to my sheer laziness, I had neglected to post the grey version of Le Noir, hence Suz had ordered the cream version not aware there was actually another colour available. However, I had come to know that grey was one of her favourite colours when she had asked me to design Madame Butterfly charm bracelet for her. Hence, I brought along the grey version of Le Noir tonight, in case she would prefer it over the cream version. And she did.

Le Noir Bracelet (grey version) - neglected to post this version earlier, due to my laziness and procrastination skills!! Has now found a home with the lovely Suz :)

Thanks so much for your trust in me to design Madame Butterfly for you Suz! I hope you enjoy wearing all your pieces as much as I did making them! It was really such a pleasure meeting you! :)

For fans of Sex & The City, this charm bracelet needs no introduction at all. Who didn't feel the slightest tinge of saddness when Carrie decided to ship out of the Big Apple (and away from Big!) and move across the transatlantic to Paris with Aleksandre? This little charmer is my tribute to this wonderful show that has kept women glued to their TV sets for 6 long seasons! Kudos ladies! (P.S. I'm working on other SATC themed pieces.... look out for them!)

Le Noir Series

This series was inspired by the black cocktail dress I'm planning to wear for a friend's wedding in Jakarta this weekend. My dress has a black lace bodice with multiple layers of soft black tulle as the skirt. As such, this series is naturally black themed.

Starting with the bracelet, the black stones contrasts wonderfully with the offwhite/creamy coloured ones in an unusual chunky dual strand design. The necklace, I decided to keep it simple, with a single ornate black piece that matches the bracelet with double stranded 14k plated gold chunky chains. As for the earrings, black Czech glass beads and Golden Shadow Swarovski crystals complete the black/gold look.

I really like all of them!

P.S. I also made the bracelet and necklace in slightly different colours, posts to come later on.

Cherry Shimmer Bracelet

This bracelet was made using the extra strand from the Cherry Belle Charm Bracelet (as it was too chunky for its owner) and matched with another slightly daintier strand. These various Czech glass beads have a lovely hue, complementing the Cherry Quartz stone perfectly.

The Double Luxe Bracelet

Had to fix up one of the girlie fren's Luxe-ish necklace as it was not "holding together" the way I intended when she's on the move. Did a bit of tweaking, adjusted the length and it turned out perfect, holding its shape even as she walked about.

As such, I had a couple of "loose" beads lying around and being too lazy to keep them, I decided to use them to make a bracelet. With the theme being chunky, I added on more beads and hence it became a double strand.
Eye catching and luxe, perfect for the modern woman!

New Beginning Charm Bracelet

One of my dear gal pals at work is heading off to greener pastures. She had ordered this customised charm bracelet from me a couple of weeks ago and I just managed to finish it this weekend. Due to the timing of her move, she's christened this bracelet as the New Beginning Charm Bracelet. All the charms used were selected by her (although she had no idea exactly what they looked liked cos I merely just gave her the list of charms I had!) and they all represent a part of her likes and preferences, in particular the dog charm (this one I had to specially look for as I did not have one). The pearls were my own doing, since I know she likes chunky bracelets so decided on a dual one for her:)

All the best my dear, will miss you but we will definitely do lunch often! Enjoy the bracelet! Included a close up of the doggie charm especially for you... hehe

Ingredients: Cute doggie charm, butterfly charm, crown charm, rocking horse charm, dancing ballerina charm and eiffle tower charm accompanied by beautiful glass beads on 14k plated gold chains finished off with an adorable heart & arrow toggle clasp

Cherry Belle Charm Bracelet

Been down with a bug the past couple of days. My mantra for the last few days has been "silence is golden" cos I pretty much lost my voice.

Anyways, am on the road to recovery already. So time to get back on track with my trinkets! Been a bit behind.... hehe

My girlie friend ms K had asked me quite a while ago to make her another charm bracelet. She liked the heart clasp, shell and made with love charms, and of cos the colour pink! I was toying with the idea of doing a dual strand one for her, but somehow the outcome didn't quite satisfy me. I felt it ended up too chunky for her delicate frame. So there it is, a combination of oval Cherry Quartz and fun charms.

Here's a sneak peek at the second strand which i removed, comprising of lovely Cherry Quartz and pale pink Czech glass beads. I guess it would look nice on its own as well!

P.S. I just realised that my last few creations have had the colour pink! I guess its a pretty popular colour.... haha

Girlie Fun Charm Bracelet Version 2

ms D saw the Girlie Fun Charm Bracelet which I had custom made for another gf and liked it. So, I did another version for her, using similar charms but incorporating glass pearls in cream and bronze colour. The overall colour them would be gold/cream/bronze.

Black Beauty

I've been leaving this piece "half finished" for almost a month now. Somehow, it keeps getting side tracked. I had this idea to create a black themed necklace which could double up as a multi-strand bracelet as well. I liked the idea of flexibility; being able to choose how I wanted to wear this piece depending on my mood. So here it is, my first hybrid necklace/bracelet piece!
Looks perfect set off against a crimson top!

Ingredients: Black glass beads interspersed with Black Diamond glass beads, topped off with a gold floral clasp

The G&G Bracelet

The CNY festive holidays have been jam packed with activities.... I was busy putting my hands to other uses such as the obligatory once a year mahjong session with the sister (not much improvement in terms of skill or speed!) and have been too tired to squeeze in any beading.

Well, the itchy fingers finally got a chance this afternoon to get back into beading action. I managed to finally complete the charm bracelet that one of my girlfriends asked me to do a while back. Mrs T and the hubs are currently away on their honeymoon and celebrating CNY in Vancouver, so she told me I had plenty of time to come up with a charm bracelet (her fav accessory!) in her favourite colours for the year - Green & Gold. When she told me her fav colours, I immediately had a design in mind. For the Gold portion, I would have dual strand gold chains each of different pattern. I also wanted to infuse in some lovely gold hoops I had. And of cos, I had to incorporate the Green element using a mix of Swarovski crystals and glass beads.

So finally, after lying partially finished in my bead box for the last couple of weeks, its finally complete! Babe, if you happen to log in from Vancouver, I hope you like it!

Ingredients: 14k plated gold chains, gold hoops, brass charms (margarita, shopping bag, high heel shoe and adorable Cupid!), Swarovski crystals and Czech glass beads topped off with a cute 14k plated heart hook clasp

Treasures from the Ocean

I finally got around to making this charm bracelet I had in mind for my CNY outfit accessory. I thought no better time to wear this goldie charm bracelet than during Chinese New Year! Fatt ah!! haha :D

So here it is, my mandatory gold trinket for the CNY period... I hope it brings me good luck! :)

Happy New Year / Gong Hei Fatt Choy!!

Simply Charming Bracelet

One of miss K's friend had seen my trinkets and was wondering if I could do up a simple bracelet and earrings for her. Miss W's mandate to me was something simple and neutral. She had a brown dress for CNY which she was hoping it could match. One of the pink fire polished glass beads in the Barcelona bracelet and the floral clasp had also caught her eye.

Based on her requests, I came up with this charm bracelet, in fairly neutral colours with a slight dash of pink. Basically, this piece can be worn with practically anything - simple casual jeans & a tee, a dress or even with work shirts. It is simplicity feminine chic. I quite fancy it myself! :)

miss W, I hope you like it! Still working on your earrings!

Ingredients: 14k gold plated chain, Maple leave and Seashell brass charms, glass pearl beads, Czech fire polished glass beads, pressed glass beads, floral clasp

The Barcelona

I had actually made this charm bracelet a while ago but had yet to post it online. Looking at the components of the bracelet now, I can't help but feel that it embodies the spirit and fire of the seaside metropolis that is Barcelona. Maybe its the effect from having (finally) read the guide book on Barcelona that inspired me to name this bracelet such.

Barcelona really seems like a melting pot where the past is married with the future and where the present is a constant buzz of activity and action. I really can't wait to go and see it for myself!

Btw, read in Jan 08 issue of HerWorld mag that one of the trends for 2008 is Charm Bracelets! Gee, this is great! I'm "IN" without even knowing it! haha

Ingredients: Czech fire-polished glass beads, glass pearl and metal charms, finished off with a floral clasp

Everyday charm bracelet

This piece is to round up my "Everyday" collection. I had already made an Everyday necklace and a pair of Everyday earrings. So I guess its befitting that this Everyday charm bracelet rounds up this trio.

Refreshing colours to match any outfit!

Ingredients: Various glass beads in different shapes and metal charms finished off with a floral clasp

Pacific Ocean

Ok, reality is sinking in, I'm going to be away from my beads and internet connection for a week. Hmm, I guess its good though for me to have this bit of time away, to spend with the hubs. I confess, since I took up beading a few months back, I have been neglecting him a tiny bit. Ok, fine, quite a lot actually.... *oopsies*

Hun, thanks for being so nice and sweet about it and not complain (yet) when I spend much of my non-work waking hours with the beadies! You'll have my full and undivided attention in Barcelona, promise! :)

So before I head off tomorrow, I will be posting some items which I have made already but been procrastinating to post.

The above bracelet is made from various Swarovski crystals in bicone and round shapes, linked with a delicate gold colour chain. I love the light refreshing colours! Reminds me of the beautiful Pacific Ocean coastlines I used to get pampered with back home!

Beach Party

Was given the following request by my girlfriend whom I gave the "My First Charm Bracelet" to for her order of a charm bracelet (my second customer!):

- along the lines of the fashionista bracelet - she loved the margarita charm and the "made with love" charm
- like the colour combi but especially something red; it had to be striking

The rest was up to me to decide. She told me "I trust your taste and judgement". Thanks dear!

Hence, I came up with the above creation. A fun bikini brass charm adds a bit of zing to a bracelet adorn with striking red Czech fire-polished glass bead, olivine oval drop glass bead, black tear drop glass bead and neutralised with a clear tear drop bead. All finished off with a lovely heart and arrow toggle clasp!

So, do you like it??

Ingredients: 14k plated gold chain, imported brass charms, Czech fire-polished beads and other glass beads, and imported brass heart & arrow toggle clasp.

My first customer!

Thanks to my dear friend K who gamely placed an order for a charm bracelet with me the other day. She like the "My First Charm Bracelet" design and gave me pretty much free reign with only the requests not to have a purple colour theme as she already has quite a lot of accessories in that colour and it being along the lines of "My First Charm Bracelet" with the floral clasp.

Although she has a lot of black outfits, I wanted to create something versatile, which she could wear with almost any kind of outfits she chose, be it for work or play. So I borrowed the style from my previous creation to create something similar but different.

Babe, let me know what you think!!
